ALL ARE WELCOME We train volunteers. We empower organizers. We listen to each individual. Downtown East for Progress was founded in 2007 as an OFA group (Obama for America, then Organizing For Action) to help elect Barack Obama. We use proven methods of outreach to create change on issues of importance to our community and country and elect candidates who support those changes. We work to advance issues including civil rights, voting rights, environmental protection, health care, gun violence prevention, and countering disinformation.
